How to Achieve the Perfect Eyebrows

1. Don’t touch them

Time to join brow rehab: Which means NO hair removal whatsoever for at least 3 months--up to one year. Experts at Lemon+Honey recommend no hair removal for at least eight weeks. Usually by the eighth week is when you will start to notice the natural eyebrow line.

2. Consult a professional Once you’ve reached the point where your brows are grown to its fullest potential, it’s time to get them shaped by an expert. Keep in mind, the length of this process will be different for everyone, especially those who have over-plucked their brows. Thin and over-plucked eyebrows may take a lot longer to grow in. Consult a L+H waxer by letting them know you want to clean up, while still managing to not take that much hairs off.

3. Choose the correct pencil or powder A common mistake most people make is choosing a wrong hue. Choose a shade that is the same as your eyebrow hair color, not the hair on your head, as sometimes it is a different shade. If you have red hair, use a warm blonde. If you're brunette, use a medium brown. Blondes should use a taupe color and grey shades should use an ash brown or taupe.

4. Fill them in Start by using short feather strokes, shade just above and just below the brow line or wherever you have sparse areas. Then use a spooly to brush, which will create a fuller and thicker looking brow. Try to focus on thickening up the ends, since that is where we tend to remove the most hair.

5. Tweeze stray hairs Start plucking hairs that fall outside the natural line of your arch. It is very helpful to fill in your ideal eyebrow shape with pencil or powder first before plucking any strays away. When doing so be sure to extend the ends all the way across the brow bone when filling in. This will give you a more clear idea of what should be tweezed and what should be left alone.
